Summer is a time for vacations and it's possible that they have't had a chance to update their website. We've run into similar problems over the years. Years ago I listened to a wise old camper and he told me to stop in at the dealers waiting room and speak to the people having a repair made and ask them questions about pre and post sale customer service. Only time it failed me was when Open Range was sold and refused to support warranty work. The dealer helped as much as possible but not to my satisfaction due to limits from the company who took over Open Range. To settle the issue I had to sign a non-disclosure agreement for a cash settlement.

I found that it is not uncommon for dealers to be tardy about removing sold inventory from their listings. Drove two hundred miles out of my way to visit a dealer in Louisiana before they "discovered" their error.

It really does not matter if the TT dealer is lazy or busy. If you know what you want and the price you will pay, tell the dealer.

Buying a TT should not be a race or tricky. This is what you want, this is what you will pay; anything more comes out of the dealer's pocket.

They will either have what you want or they will not.

The dealer will not sell at a loss.

When we went used truck shopping, we went to a couple dealers to look at trucks they had advertised (fortunately they were local dealers) one sales guy spent 10 minutes looking for a truck only to come back and say it had been sold 2 months ago. I think they just leave them up so you'll come in.... the supreme irony, when we bought our used trailer we didn't print a copy of the ad for it, when we went in to pick it up we asked if they could print a copy of the ad, they had already taken it down...

I have found that some just do not update their sites. Now, our last travel trailer was bought at a dealer not far from here. We traded in our pop up...I checked the night after we brought our travel trailer home and it was on the site. The person we dealt with updated their site just about every night. This to me is a good sign of a good dealer...so sad they closed their business.

Many dealers don't serve their own web sites, or don't handle the inventory listings on the same site, they will jump to a listing service for this. It is the same with car dealers. The inventories don't get updated until someone puts in an order for the change, to the inventory service or web hosting service.

The few dealers that maintain their own sites tend to do better, but there will usually be more pressing issues than updating web sites promptly.

I came across a couple dealers who advertised trucks they didn't even have possession of yet. Many used vehicles come from auctions. The dealer would advertise whatever they bought at auction even though it would be 2 weeks before they were delivered. Funny how they could list a price too without knowing the full condition of the vehicle.

I've even called ahead to check if the vehicle was on the lot and said I would come at xx time only to find out it was "at another lot" or "the manager must have taken it home for the night".

There's no winning.

The teenager that handles their website was away at summer camp for the week and no adults could figure out how to make the changes. :R

It's always seemed to me that when the "closer" is going through a million things on the computer and printing out papers for you to sign, one thing on his checklist should be deleting the ad for the rig he is closing the sale on. It would take about 2 seconds of his time. Of course, that would probably mean he would have to raise the price of your rig $100!
