flexable solar panels
does anybody have any advice on the flexible solar panel(s)?
I am looking at a
pair of these
they have 3 grommets on each side so you can screw them down to roof.
or you can glue them? but I have a rubber roof, which is "sacrificial" and I can't see how any glue will hold long term.
My plan was to use Renogy 100w panels like I did on my last RV.
advantages on flexible:
lower standup height on roof.
"junk" don't get under the flexible like it did on the standup framed ones.
A little more aerodynamic (enough to matter?)
20 extra Watts per panel.(10% total = about 1 amp total)
easier on cover when installed
advantages on fixed frame:
more ridged
no flexing so no wires in panel to break.
less chance of walking on them because they stand up off roof.
