For the Dodge guy's,,,

I have a 07' Dodge Ram 3500 diesel dually 4 door, recently i'm getting about a liter/quart of standing water collecting in the drivers side storage tray under the rear drivers side seat after a heavy extended rain storm,i cheched the rear brake light and didn't see any leaks so I thought i'd toss this out there.

The cab clearance lights will cause water dripping out of the overhead DIC, along the headliner at the windshield, and both windshield pillars, coming out around the kick panels. Ask me how I know.......:M
  • pronstar ,thanks, real good reading, one part mentioned a crack in the seam at the corner on the window,i might have that,i'll keep you informed.

  • BTW they all leak, every brand, these things are pumped out and even with all the checks on the line******happens. They all can run off at the mouth quality this and quality that, but the bottom line is NUMBERS and nothing else period. Note: this is across the line no matter how high end or low end you buy.

  • Take a hose and slowly put water over the third brake light for five minutes while someone watches inside the truck. If no water is found then move over to the corner seam at the rear cab corner on the side where the water found. The brake light will most likely be the place. Pick up a new gasket for it they only cost a few bucks

  • I was going to suggest the light. Are you sure that's not it?

I went through the same thing twice on two different dodge's (both '08s). First time I thought for sure it must be the back window. Even had the window guy come out. He had me tape up the light as a final check. Sure enough.... it was the light after all.
