I think you are comparing apples to oranges. ie normally asperated to twin turbo. :h
I have never towed with a 3.73 in a 6.2, mine has the 4.30. My 6.2 doesn't seem to put out any pulling power under 2000 rpm. So at 2200 in 6th that puts me right at 65 towing a 10K fifth wheel.
I dare say that if i had 3.73's I would never be in 6th unless down hill.
Keep the R's up to a reasonable point in the 6.2, relax and quit lamenting about the greatest little motor you used to have. :W
JMHO, I still am pleased after 52K on my F250 gasser.
