Fresh water Fill Pain

I bought a hose attachement which is a skinnier hose that fits down into the fill neck about 10" or so. Would that help? Maybe filling it more slowly?

Do you have the instructions? There may be a valve you have to open or some such. You could also just try opening the kitchen faucet (with the pump off) to provide additional venting.

yeh maybe the faucet would do ti. I'll give that a try, thanks.

I use a hose attachment that I used on the pop up we previously had, works great. Camco...

I made a hose attachment of clear tubing that fits all the way down into the tank and just fill away. No backwash at all.

Long smaller hose down the fill spout worked for me.

How long is the hose?

I too had this dilema. Solved it by cutting the end off a washing machine fill hose and attaching to my fill hose as it is a smaller diameter it allowed for air to pass our as it was being displaced by water. Also fill slower . Just find something else to do near by and listen for the water. Hope this helps. BTW Another annoyance is the fill host entering the FW tank is on the side so can never use tanks full capacity. A design flaw

The above solutions will work, however I bet that your vent line is too long and has a low spot in it. If you can access it from the inside, try tugging on it or look at it to see if there is extra line you can cut and shorten. I had the same problem when my last rig was new and fixed it myself.

That's what I had. A dip in the too-long vent hose was causing water to be entrapped in the vent line. The only way to push the water out if to pressurize the tank, and that's a no-no! Make the vent tube shorter and allow any water to drain back into the tank and it should resolve the issue.

Also, find out which corner the vent hose is attached to and jack the trailer away from that corner slightly to the water line in the tank fills the far end of the tank first. I tilt mine to the drivers side to fill, and to the passenger side if I want a more effective drain.

All you need is the "Camco 40003 Water Tank Filler with Shutoff Valve".

The fill tube plenty small enough to allow air to escape past, without much worry about the small vent. I don't notice much air flow out of the little vent when I fill at full blast using this device.
