heated and cooled seats
Cooled or ventilated?
Well I know on our 2016 I would need to look and see how it is stated it, but mine sure feel cool when on.
Now not sure the massage seat is a good idea, long day heat and massage would equal me going to sleep.
I agree on the massage part! Our RAM's have "Ventilated" seats. It creates a cooling effect by pushing air thru the seats and causing an evaporating effect making you "FEEL" like they are cooling.
So to be CLEAR Ford guys are your seats tied to the AC system???
Not 100% sure... I can say that there IS forced air running threw the seats, I had a loose hose and constant air sound till it was fixed.
I did find this -
How do FORD air conditioned seats work?
"Cooled (or air conditioned) seats work by confining cooled air directly in the seat where the passenger is seated. ... The porous material of the car seat by itself allows your body to breathe, making it feel cooler and less sweaty. Multiple fans are put within the seat to provide air circulation."
AND this -
"The fan blows up through the seat holes and out. It isn't related to your vehicle HVAC, it is a separate system using a thermo-electric device. Each seat has its own fan intake with air filter underneath."
So , , If anyone doubted Lynnmor, shame on them !
