Front Propane Storage Question

I can't answer your specific question other than to say that 20, 30, and 40 pound bottles have the same footprint with the only difference being height.

Taller bottles may also result in the LPG lines being unable to reach.

A 40 lb. propane tank measures approximately 29 inches high by 12.5 inches in diameter. A 30 lb. propane tank measures approximately 24 inches high by 12.5 inches in diameter. Not sure there is enough clearance to have the cover secured without some type of modification.

the cover, and the rod that holds the tanks to the frame. Hoses.. ???? long enough.

I have (2) 30lb tanks.. and the cover just covers them.
and the rod.. would not except taller tanks, unless rod was replaced and new cover.

but thats my Coachmen.

also .. the added weight of 2 larger tanks... Tongue weight to be considered...

The biggest advantage to the twenty pound tanks is that you can X-change them all over the country at lumber yards , grocery stores , drug stores ,et al . My two twenty,s will last several months and I would not want or need two forties !

I have the same year make and model as you. My particular unit came with two 30 lb tanks and that is all that will fit without modification. Yours could be different. BTW I replaced mine and found the best price (barring the internet) at Tractor Supply. Also Winnebego/Sunnybrook can still be reached by phone for information on this model. I even recently purchased original style replacement decals as well as a fender. I was surprised that I could still get these items.

The exchanges are much more expensive than refilling them. Never had an issue finding a place to fill any of our tanks.

Thanks....This is what I needed. And thank you to everyone else. My particular setup won't allow me to move from place to place. We keep it seasonal at a Campground here in NE PA. The last owners had dual 100lb tanks on it and to me thats over kill. They left one of the tanks but I don't want to be lugging that around to get filled. I actually think the local gas companies would come fill it but I'd rather have the tanks covered and such. Here in PA we have a company called Modern Gas. The price i got yesterday via phone for a 40lb'er was 95 bucks filled. Brand new tank of course. So moving down to a 30lb'er is gonna be cheaper.

If you're a Costco member they sometimes have 30 pound tanks for $40.

Yeah I knew how to do it. Just that the size required is what threw me off. 640x480 doesn't work to well on certain photos. I just have to edit them myself instead of that app doing it.
