Funny looking propane regulator - another rookie question.

This new trailer of ours has the propane regulator screwed into the front of the box. What is up with that? Are there some new safety features in it or something? I liked it when the regulator was ...

Thar sounds about right. It is a single tank, and it is an entry-level trailer. I won't feel bad about replacing it. It really is in the way. Thanks.
