Yes, I own 2 trucks. 2010 2500 GMC diesel with currently 599,700 on it and a 2013 3500 Cab & Chassis model.
I tend to get low oil pressure warnings when pulling in temps above 80 degrees when the coolant goes over 215 degrees. Its when I have to let off the throttle and the truck goes back to idle. It only flashes low oil pressure for a second. An oil thickener like Lucas does help keep the oil pressure up.
My 98 does that, it's the oil pressure sending unit. My new 98 does the same thing. I have checked the pressure with a manual gauge and the pressure is fine.
Hard to believe that light duty Duramax could last that long! :W
I suppose if it were a medium duty engine it would have needed a rebuild already? :h
He secretly runs AMZ/OIL ;)
I had a new 98 but it wasn't new in 99, just 98. Problem is it didn't want to leave our garage but it was a simple fix.
