Don't forget that the OP is in British Columbia, Canada, where the door sticker is the law, and they do pull over RVs and weigh them.
If this "4k payload" you speak of is due to clever math with the axle ratings, then it won't fly in BC.
To the OP: Easiest thing to do is look at the door sticker of the truck you're interested in. That is how much you can legally carry in BC.
