I avoid campgrounds in the summer for this reason and lately light pollution. Every kid seems to have a flashlight, some have laser beams. Dad likes 2 Coleman lanterns.
DE Bishop. I have been camping since the early 1950s. There was a time when you could talk with people and ask them in a reasonable tone. Now you can't. Lots of people are armed and have plenty of attitude. I asked a guy recently in a nice restaurant if he would mind lowering his voice. It was on. We had the police and an ambulance. We broke the furniture. Now I keep my mouth shut.
