Had a problem with one of my BFG Commercial TA's

Last fall while camped at a lake I noticed one of the E rated commercial TA's I put on the trailer a few years ago didn't look quite right but of course it slipped my mind by the time we left the lake...

If I do decide to go for a complete set of new tires I don't think it will be Commercial TA's again. I went to the 16" E rated TA's when I ditched the 15" D rated China Bomb ST's, don't think I should be having this problem with hardly any wear on them.

The shelf life of those tires has expired.
You have had them 6 years. When were they made?
That is when the clock starts ticking. How much tread is worn off means nothing.
Tires are made primarily of natural materials that degrade over time.

I NEVER go more than 5 years on any of my tires.
Not from when I bought them... From the date code.
