Heavy snow cover your ac unit
Cover your a/c unit if you are in the blizzards path . If the snow gets deep and it rains by chance the water can wick into the camper . The snow acts like a sponge . Better safe than sorry

Don't see why not, if you can get it to stay on, and not flap in the wind. I have seen a garbage bag and duct tape used short term.
