Height In Shower - Trailmanor?

I scoured the internet for the height in the Trailmanor shower but could not find it. My husband is 6'2" and weighs about 200 lbs. so I am not sure from looking at the photos if he would fit. Anyone know or have experience with the TM shower?
  • I had a 3326 for years and at 6' 2" your head will probably be pretty close to the ceiling. If I recall the toilet is probably be OK as it sits between the vanity and shower. If you want more leg room just open the door.

For the most part you aren't going to take long showers. Most of the TMs have a 6 gallon HW tank, so the HW is going to get used up fast anyway.

I would suggest you might want to look at the some of the ventilation mods for the toilet. We never had a serious issue with the recirculating toilet, but other people had. The mod is pretty easy to do.

I still think the 3326 was the best of the TMs. Any of the units with the king bed are the way to go (you don't have to crawl over each other in the night.

The are hard to beat as long as you don't mind setting them up and down.
  • You will really have to look at it yourself. I suspect the amount of space in the shower and bathroom varies from model to model in the Trailmanor line. Our Trailmanor Elkmont (not one of the foldable models) had a very nice bathroom, but the shower was quite cramped. Tall enough and bright, especially with the skylight, but not a lot of elbow room. Also the shower floor was weak, not well supported, so at 190# I was careful where I stepped.

So I didn't use the shower much. Our new trailer has a much bigger shower with a solid floor and big grey water tank, so we've started using the shower much more.

There's a forum specific to Trailmanors where you can get more info. I found them very helpful with ours. www.trailmanorowners.com/forum/index.php
  • The shower in my TT actually has a bubble"skylight" above the shower that makes all the difference in the world.. In fact it was one of the top three reasons we purchased this unit compaired to other simular units.. I wonder if this can be added to a coach that does not have it ??

  • Be sure to check the toilet situation out BEFORE you buy!

Sit down on it and see if you can close the door and/or if your knees hit a wall preventing you from using the toilet. You will be shocked just how many RV's do not leave enough room.

My first TT I did not find out until my first trip out that if you were over 5 foot tall, when you sat on the toilet you could not close the door. :R

When looking at new RV's it is the FIRST thing I check for now. And I prefer the open bathroom floor plan where the shower and toilet are on one side of the RV and the sink on the other side. This ensures you have room to do what you need to do in a bathroom :B

  • I have a 2417 TrailManor, but it is closed right now. It has 6' 3" of ceiling height in the shower, I believe. BUT, the other sizes have a different shower. Go to the TrailManor Forum and ask there, with the year and model of the unit you are considering. Someone has one, and is the same height as your husband. You will likely get a quick answer.
  • Thanks everyone! There is one about 1 1/2 hours south of us and we are considering driving down to see it. I have looked at the photos online, several I found, and to me sizing it up with the size of the toilet, it looks pretty tight and my husband is part duck as is my son but they seem to think some mystery being gets the water on the floor.
  • We had a TrailManor for a couple of seasons and the shower was OK. I am 6 ft. 4 inches and only weighed 190 at the time. Call TM to get the info on actual dimensions.
  • Not sure on the Trail Manor, but in my full sided TT I can't stand up full height in my trailers shower by a good amount, but I'm 6'3". The shower is raised about 2-3" above the floor in mine (it's tub as well). I can stand up with inches to spare in the trailer itself. I have to duck to get out the front door however..

I've never taken a shower in my trailer, as it's just not big enough and works much better for storage.. :)

The next thing to do is find a Trail Manor dealer and check them out in person.. ;)

I looked at them before buying our TT and didn't care for them one bit.. I didn't even get to the bathroom before I exited it... Just not what I wanted and the used ones I looked at cost more than the brand new full sided trailer I ended up with (and still own to this day).

Good luck with the search and I hope you find the trailer of your dreams! :)

    Mitch
  • We had a Trailmanor 3023 for 12 years. I am 6 ft and I fit ok but it is snug.
