Saved from scrap yard back corner. I was told it was a 1960s camper with No title and all markings have fallen off except a couple of cast aluminum mustangs ( I think they mustangs ). frame is rusted and cant find the VIN at this time. Doing a complete rebuild on it due to the really bad condition. Thanks you much

Ask the folks at Flyte Camp in Oregon. They could probably tell you.

It's not a Golden Falcon, Golden Falcons were not as boxy as this unit is. The side trim reminds me of an early "Rambler" trailer.

Just a guess.

Another Update to clarify and give coo-does to those that rang in with their knowledge of these vintage TTs.

I was able to find the original manufacturer tag that was supposed to be attached to the out side of the camper body inside the wall behind the kitchenette cabinet, how it got there I have no clue. It is a black plastic medallion with westward coach manufacturing serial 497B model 17CD it has what looks like the stallion horse logo on it in the center.

I have not had this kinda excitement in my life for a long time and I'm finding it hard to stop in the evenings and I'm getting up early in the mornings ready to get after it again. Maybe I'm weird or something but I'm really enjoying this. If the Moderator does not mind I have a link to my Facebook page where I have quite a few pictures of what has been done so far. www.facebook.com/ARVRS
Yes we are a mobile RV repair company but this is my first vintage TT build.

Thanks everyone for the help in identifying this TT. I will surely share progress photos with you as it comes back together. If anyone has a link to a parts house that carries the westwood mustang camper parts please feel free to throw it at me. I think this project deserves to have a name as well, any ideas? The video of the 66 mustang shows the horses on the rear and you get a peek at the snap in trim which are spot on matches. The 1970 mustang for sale shows the windows and color scheme which match the style. so Im narrowed down to 66 to 70 Westwood mustang TT 14-15 ft if I am correct.

Thanks again,

Update to Identity crisis....Had a chance to stop in where we are rebuilding this beauty, was able to locate what I believe is the VIN # 17Cd4978. Havnt got a clue as to anything else except the camper had 2 cast aluminum horse emblems about 6" by 10" laying in the floor along with a flat white plastic horse emblem (in really bad shape and falling apart). All 3 emblems resemble Mustangs rearing up. camper was painted a main of silver and trim black with red snap in trim molding.

ROFL yea definitely recycle here....pulled the skin off and it fell apart. Not much is going to remain from original camper but its alot of fun figuring it out and watching it come back to life.

Looks very much like an 18-ft 1970s Golder Falcon my family had. I would bet if you post it over at vintagetrailertalk, someone will ID it more certainly.

Could be a Golden Falcon or Shasta. The inside pic looks very similar to a 1972 Golden Falcon that was our first trailer.

Best thing to do is try to find he VIN NUMBER stamped into the frame. Most are found just where the tongue meets the body on the drivers side of the trailer.
