Help, new to me Lance camper has 2 plugs

Lance 971 has 2 plugs.
One is the standard Lance plug but what is the other one for?

My new to me 2009
  • Right is std Lance (which Id use because it will accept 8ga power and ground) Adding Lance Lance truck side receptacle you could run 8ga power to say an ignition controlled constant duty relay, just a lot better charging.
The screw on plug? Some back up cameras do use but seems rather large. Even if identified what it might have been sold as/for- no telling what PO did. Meter and trace out.

Agreed. I’d cut and chuck them both for a standard connector.
Looks like the PO wired up a specialty plug for ????
Chase the wires back. Bet they’re both terminated in the same spot. Probably had 2 vehicles with different plugs. That left one I’ve never seen presume the right one is the Lance plug.
  • 1 the left plug doesn't look like factory plug
2 contact seller and ash what was added
3 in case #2 fails to bring the answer, contact the manufacturer if they install such option

  • I see no electrical contacts. Just the camera angle?

When the std plug is used what doesn't work? How hard is it to chase back the plugs?

Why isn’t it just a standard plug? They may have wanted the option of hauling it in a truck wired for a standard camper or 5th wheel. Wait...that’s not an RV plug. It looks a little like a commercial 7-way but the pins aren’t in the right places. Maybe still for another vehicle they owned? Take an ohm meter and see if the pins are connected between the two.

How about something to plug in a group of external batteries in the truck bed? Is there 12V on them?

    Rear view camera

No rear view camera on camper, is this maybe pre-wiring for a camera option?
