I suppose the bikes if any added could go on the bumper "rack' that comes mounted on the trailer.. I would hope they are safe enouh not to just fall off.

The problem with adding cargo on trailer bumper is, most bumpers are made out of a thin metal material, and they are welded onto the ends of the frame rails. There is no rail support under the bumper. What happens with added weight, either the thin wall of the bumper tears, or, the welds break off.
There are a few makes / models that do have the additional support, maybe yours is one of them, Some folks have had additional supports welded to the frame.
Even though you're so close to being over on GVWR / payload, I think your best place to store a couple bicycles, would be in your truck bed. You'd only add 50 - 75 lbs.
