Hensley is GREAT....but Very Rough Ride
Hi All,
Background:
Tow Vehicle Ford F250 Diesel CC 2WD
Trailer: 37 Foot, 12000 Pound Weight, 1400 TW.
Hitch: Hensley Swift Arrow.
Trailer tows great. Previous to this we owned a 5th wheel and DW thinks this trailer is an easier, more comfortable tow. With one exception, on busted up concrete interstates (of which there seems to be lots).
After a bit of work getting this all set up, adding an anti-sway bar and bilstien shocks/damper to the f250: this setup really tows like it is on rails. Not affected by passing trucks, cross winds, etc...On smooth to moderately rough asphalt/concrete it is a dream to drive. Wife says better than the 5th wheel for TV passenger comfort. That is until we get on busted up concrete pavement and the ride is bone jarring!...BIG time! Driving south thru Virginia and South Carolina was no fun. Back hurt at the end of the drive...
Any thoughts oh how to improve the busted concrete pavement blues?
I believe an air receiver would help but never seen on used with an air type receiver hitch....be nice if Hensley or Propride offered this...
Thanks
Dan
