I've had my ProPride for 6 years now and have yet to have any failures. I don't think this hitch requires much maintenance at all. I just grease it once or twice a year. As for it dripping oil from the grease, maybe it's the grease used. I use the same grease as I use for wheel bearings, Mobile 1, and don't have any oil separation all all.
I did have issues with the jack mounts slipping on the A frame. I added an aluminum plate to shim the space between the frame and the jack. This has worked fine.
Also, I did have a stinger bend, however it was totally my fault as I jack knifed the trailer in a parking lot. the stinger bent but nothing else did. That was in 2012. Sean sold me a replacement stinger at cost which was much reduced over the published price.
Overall my ProPride seems to have held up well and I do have several long trips under my belt, Florida twice, Wyoming, and Virginia, as well as yearly jaunts around New England.
