Hi everyone! looking for help picking a new camper

We only got to use one night .... like you, we drove 3 hours to get it, and decided on the way home, we would stop over at one of the Provincial Parks still open in November. Once i got it home i went over it pretty good. It's a Jayflight, with a little less flair. What it gives you is everything one would need to camp, tons of storage, conveniences, and best of all, it's aluminum and wood framed.... the construction that has stood the test of time! This is my 5th Jayflight, and i will say they are still the best bang for the buck on the market!

Well, now I'm re-thinking the grand design. But I'm also thinking hard about going slideless. I enjoy the smaller space, and I don't mind giving up the counter space. And it seems like one less thing to break or give me trouble.

After looking at the Lance trailers at a show last spring, I have to say they were impressive. As with all makes, I see some negative reviews online. They did seem to be better built and planned than others I looked at though. My only complaint was the round sink. How do you put a dish drainer up against that? Also pricey, but may be worth it.

Lastly look at all the owners forums of the TT's your interested in prior to making your decision, but keep in mind generally the most info on the forums will be about problems. People who have no problems generally don't provide input.

I almost mentioned that the only ones I found were for hydraulic actuated slides, and that it was implied that the leaking was happening around that specific hardware. None of which applies to the Imagine line. On another note, I often search for good floorplans that don't include slides. Some are nice, but you always sacrifice something, usually floor and counter space. For weekends that's probably OK. For extended trips, likely not. The Imagine remains at the top of my shopping list.

Try the Fun Finder line and see if any of those are to your liking. A great dealer for those is Wana RV in Shipshewana, Indiana. Good pricing, super service department. Also look at the Winnebago 25' TT. Nicely done, nice floor plan, a great unit.

Insane money often buys you a very good product. You will get what you pay for. The best warranty is a good product up front.

Sometimes true. Sometimes you just pay too much. I'm having a very hard time telling the difference right now. I have found the basic layout I like, but the trailer I have liked best (that I have seen in person) is the coachmen catalina 231rb. I like that the countertops are all one piece and I like that there are no slides. But it's so cheap I can't imagine it's well made. Of course the dealer told me it's better than a more expensive one but I don't trust him.

I wouldn't be afraid to buy a cheap TT. $16K instead of a $45K means you can replace it 2 times over, if needed..LOL :). I like the floor plan as well ( I don't like sliders either ).

We were not sure what we want in our TT, so we took our best guess and rented a similar unit for a ten day trip to the Ozarks.

Ended up with the same size TT but different floor plan and a bigger truck.

You have some experience so your decision show be easier.
