Hood Vent Fan No Longer Working - UPDATE

My hood vent fan above the stove top randomly stopped working the other weekend. I have checked the main fuses, no luck. Also checked the switch on the fan and the wires are still connected. Inspected the fan and I see no visible issues with it.

Possible the fan just is done and I need a new one? If so, I have NO idea how to figure out what brand it is or anything like that.

Bought the rig new 2 years ago, so not like it is that old or anything.

Any thoughts and help on this would be appreciated.

Have you tried it since? Were you cooking on the stove at the time? the reason I ask is that when it gets too hot mine has a shutdown and will start working again when cooled down.

Most also have lights. Does the light work?

Check for voltage where wires hook to fan also check at switch.

Thanks for the tips! I will try some lube spray and checking where it's wired to.

As for checking to see if there is power to it, I will start with a tester and go from there.

We thought ours had quit working on our new trailer and discovered it is wired into the cabinet lighting...just a simple thought that might be the case here.

Motor is probably tied up. Take it out and squirt some PBlaster on the shaft at both ends, spin it by hand and reinstall it, Should work. If not, you can cross the motor numbers on the net and buy a replacement. Probably an import can motor of questionable quality anyway.
