HOST EVEREST OWNERS WITH CONVECTION OVEN

Greetings folks, anyone out there with a Host Everest that opted for a convection/microwave combination unit? After owning a new Everest since mid-2011, we finally used, or tried to use, the convection function of the combination unit this past week. After 20 minutes of cooking it shut itself off. A few hours later we tried it again and it powered back up. We didn't try the convection anymore, just used the microwave function which worked fine. Apparently it overheated and thankfully had a protection circuit that shut it down. Having recently shopped for one for the home kitchen, convection ovens have stated clearance requirements. Based upon what I can see, it appears that my install doesn't meet these requirements. If it does, apparently airflow around it must be an issue. I am considering mounting a muffin fan under it behind a cook-top light on the bottom of the microwave cabinet above the stove top, changing out the duplex plug in the cabinet that the micro plugs into to a plug plus switch and wiring the fan to the switch. This would force air up the backside and out a gap Host left in the top between wood trim facing and the cabinet.

Anyone else with an Everest and the micro/conv oven run into this problem??? We opted for this over a propane oven to gain a huge drawer below the cook top (a whole other problem topic). Thanks
