how do you protect rain gutter and TT cover?

When you cover your TT how do you keep from breaking the rain gutters at the corners. Also, if they don't break, how do you keep from wearing holes in the cover due to wind movement?
  • I took 4 tennis balls and carefully slit each one about an inch with a blade or knife. Squeeze the tennis ball and slide over the gutter. The smaller the slit the tighter the squeeze on the gutter and they stay on.

No holes on the cover and tennis balls protect the gutter from bending or snapping off.
  • We use the plastic practice golf ball with the holes in them. cut a square opening to go around the gutter end and slip it on. After 3 years still no tears in the cover. To make them easier to find in the can with the cover I get the bright orange ones.
  • I wrap bubble wrap around the corners. it has worked great for the last 5 years. I cover the trailer to keep the elements from shortening the life of everything. it`s almost like keeping it in a garage. my TT is 7 years old and looks almost like new.
  • RV covers aren't supposed to protect from water damage.

I'm not going to mention what I use for the downspouts as the swim noodle idea blows it away - will start doing that.
  • I leave the cover off. The roof is already supposed to prevent water damage so keep it in good repair by not covering it.
  • We used old socks, rubber bands & string. Wrapped the "downspouts" in them before putting the cover on. Worked pretty well - no holes, no damage to the downspouts! The socks were pretty trashed after a long snowy winter though.
  • Dollar store swim noodles. Can also assemble them to fit around the ac
