how low is too low for nose of TT

we are at our new seasonal site and its not level of course. We are in the mountains in NY. Front to back leveling is done and our nose isn't very high off the ground with the trailer maybe a foot off the ground. The basement storage is also right there and I was concerned with the electrical hookups with water and ultimately snow. Is 1 foot too low? The rear is about 30 inches off the ground. thanks

The only thing up there that I can think of that would be a concern would be the 7 pin box. 7 pin boxes are not typically waterproof, so snow melt and being under water could cause problems with the connections. An easy fix would be to upgrade the box to a weatherproof box. Most of your other electrical connections should be in higher locations. There's been times where I've put my tongue a few inches above ground to get level.
  • When I was a seasonal, I took it off the site away from trees during the winter.
    I tilted it rearward.
If I were to leave it on the site, I would skirt the bottom to keep out the weather.
However, if you choose to do that, you have to do your own repairs or have an on site mechanic .
