We're like hotjag1. We bought a second motorhome, a 2004 RVision Trailite. When we were contemplating going to Alaska, we didn't want to take the big rig. I know people do, but with the roads always a mess, we didn't want the wear and tear on it. Also, we were coming back through the inside passage and the cost with the big rig pulling the toad was over $5000. The little 22' B+ was $1700. A big savings. She was quite comfortable, totally self contained with a generator, etc. We love her!
After the Alaska trip (where she performed admirably) we kept her to do east coast state parks where rig bigs can't get into. Yes, more to maintain, but we keep her in climate controlled storage, so there is minimal upkeep.
