How to attach carriers to your Truck Camper Bumpers?
I'm probably going to be adding a small carrier to each side to carry some light firewood and similar light items on my camper's bumper. Truck camper bumpers are pretty unique in that they don't attach like other RVs, but are fairly rigid.
I don't want to use a normal hitch carrier since that blocks the step. It would essentially be a shelf with lightweight tie downs at the corners. One of the bigger questions is how to attach it that will allow it to easily be removed.
Another alternative is to build a hitch carrier that goes around the step, and goes into the hitch. The problem with that approach is that the structure would be pretty heavy to be strong enough to hold almost any weight and not be too flexible.
Pictures would be great if you've done something similar.
