- ken56ExplorerJC435 beat me to suggesting the push on quick connectors. I picked mine up at Radio Shack and my fingers are much happier for it. I found it very difficult to rotate the nut onto the connection. Sooo much easier to just push it on. I have a 25 foot coax and have never needed more than that.
- mrjmrobertsonExplorerAnd be sure to have a barrel connecter. I've been in a lot of places that you need to connect your cable to a male cable at the site. And don't forget to take it with you when you leave!
Usually the campground store sells the connecter. - Intrepid_TravelExplorerThank you all for your responses. The information is greatly appreciated!
Intrepid Travelers - JC435ExplorerI would also suggest a quick connect on both ends of the coax. Sometimes the cable connection at the CG is in a hard place to reach and the quick connect makes it MUCH easier. They cost just a few bucks at Wal-mart or Radio Shack.

My POPUP TV is portable and sometimes we like to use it outside sitting under the awning. I usually bring along a TV SPLITTER and a short RG cable to hook to the CG CABLE TV port. Then I also bring two RG cables one to connect to the CABLE TV port on the trailer and the other cable to throw under the trailer so I can use it on the outside under the awning.
Be sure to bring along a RG cable as the campground will not provide one for you...
Also don't rule OTA TV using your BATWING antenna pointed towards the local town. The NATL BROADCAST CLEAR TV signals is great now since they have gone to DIGITAL TV MODE. This is full blown HDTV signals...
You are like a broken record.
Bruce - GaryWTExplorerThe only thing I will add is I carry 2-25 foot cables. If I only had 10 feet that would only work about 10% of the time. One 25 foot gets me about 75% of the time and the other 25% I need more than the 25 feet. My connection is on the rear end of the trailer away from all other connections.

Yes - mine has a switch like this, but the opposite of Antenna is cable. Switch to cable. A good CG will have a channel guide available.
As suggested above........also have to turn antenna booster/amplifier OFF - ChooChooMan74ExplorerMy last 2 trailers had 2 connections, one for cable and one for satellite. Also, as stated, make sure your antenna booster is off.
