Hurricane IAN & My Jayco Eagle TT - Manual Crank Slides???

9/30/22

RE: post hurricane Ian

My 2007 Jayco Eagle was flooded in the hurricane. I do not know yet how high the water got. In the event it reached the slide mechanisms & the trailer slides are rendered inoperable under electric power, I understand there is a way to HAND CRANK the slides. Can anyone tell me where I can get detail on how I can manually crank my slides?

Thank you!

  • 9/30 Thank you for the reply. Will investigate the hex nut and or motor break options if the slide motors are trashed from the high waters. Will know in the next couple weeks.

    Thank you ????

On many/most electric motor slides there is a hex nut that you can wrench on to turn the motor. Another option is to release a motor brake and wrench on the cross bar.

But hopefully they will be OK when you get there.
