I am the truck killer!

My "kill count" is up to three.

First my trusty 2002 Chevy 3500 8.1L started missing and was undriveable. The mechanic changed the 20 year old plugs and wires so maybe that's fixed, but that truck is not here. Plus, 8.8MPG with $4.69 gas...

Second my Dad's 2015 (thread below) electrical system. So I can't drive that.

Yesterday I was headed to pick up a chicken BBQ dinner from a local church, and a lifter seized in my 2015 Silverado 1500, presumably bending a pushrod. Second time it happened. Last time it's happening to me. Worst time ever to need a new truck.

I'm reduced to driving mom's Chevy Trax, which currently is not licensed or insured and has a dead battery.

    You know sometimes life just tries to beat you down. I am kind of in that position myself right now but I sat on my bed this morning and told myself that life is good as it could be a lot worse. So I will just forge on with my chin up. You will be all right.

    As I say to peeps when they ask how my wife is doing......she's still breathing, has a heartbeat, giving husband normal wifely ration of sheet! Not knowing if problems are cardio, heart, thyroid or equal.

    Blown up trucks are easy to fix or replace.....

    No your not borrowing my truck!

    Hate to be the bearer of bad news on your ol' 2002, but if you haven't replaced the brake lines or fuel lines that will be next...

    If he waited 20 years to replace plugs and wires, maybe the OP just isn't that much into truck maintenance --- just sayin'
