Nope, you can't hear mine because I've never camped near you.

Solar won't charge much on a cloudy day, so a generator is still needed to recharge.

This thread is about a generator shelter, not how much noise one makes.

I bought one back in the 80's for $50and it took so long to put it together it was time to come home by the time I got it together. I think I still have it in the storage room somewhere

I use a pop-up tent. They fold down to a 17" disc. Basically toss it and it pops into a dome tent. About $20 on Amazon

I find them quite noisy. I also notice most of their owners put them as far away from their camper as the cord will reach, so apparently they find them quite noisy as well.

Pretty much everyone assumes that their generator, radio, TV, or whatever is quiet. It isn't. If you are 1/4 mile away from everyone else then enjoy the drone of your generator. Most developed campgrounds aren't this spacious, and the constant drone of generators has become all too common. I know that when no one is around, no one hears my Onan running. Since no one hears it, the Onan must be quiet.

If you run a generator in the woods and there is no one around to hear it, does it make any noise? :B

My EU2000 has been outside in torrential downpours. Never have had any problems.

Great idea and cool design, DB. Thanks for throwing it out there. Something to think about.

I love the sound of rain and generators. Seems they just go together...naturally.
