I have $20,000 saved up. I have lousy credit from a divorce.I'm trying to get a nicer looking Lance (best resale, right?) and a truck to put it on.Some must haves are:1) pass through to truck cab/rv. Will be roaming full time and in urban areas. Safety.2) Air conditioning and generator, hopefully not propane, so I can use it more frequently/longer without running out.3) Decent interior to truck camper4) The 6cuft Norcold5) stove/oven6) cassette toilet if possible7) Good insulation**Need reliable enough truck to drive cross country without thinking twice, but would rather spend more on truck camper. Can always upgrade a truck later when I have more $$$.Not hauling boats/toys, minimal worldly possessions, just need a comfortable, air conditioned place to work, eat, sleep,shower while traveling full time.Can I do this on $20,000? Any suggestions as to examples of truck campers and trucks that match this budget? Thanks!

20K on a truck and camper? Possibly. Have you considered a used class C?

TCs don't have pass-throughs to truck unless you are climbing through the rear window (many are too small to do it).

PS: My username comes from my other life. I have a very high end catamaran that I've invested all my money and several years of my life into building. It's in the water, but I'm pulling it out for a break. I'm socially isolated on it, still trying to finish it inside. So, I've had enough and I'm going RVing again. Full back story is I've done a box truck and Sprinter conversion as well in the past. Tired of building things. Trying to buy this time. Had enough. :)

If you don't know the actual maker and size, try Lance. They are apparently very good at service. Barring that measure the size and look on Amazon, Tweetys, etc. In the mean time, I'd stop by a home improvement store and cut some material to fit and tape it in place.

Was just about to ask. Been googling it. Tried PPL motorhomes, stuff like that. Nothing.

And of course a HUGE thunderstorm roared through where I am in fl. No rain in the prior week. Soaked the mattress because wind driven rain easily got around the tarp.

There's a company in Mich (I think) that will build replacement windows for TC - can't remember the name but I replaced several in my Fleetwood a few years ago.

If you don't find a place to get it - come back here and I'll look for it and get the name off the receipt ... if I can find it. :(

Driving the interstate in Montana last year and was passed by a really nice new looking rig with a fairly large Lance TC. Just about the time the Lance cleared my front end the cabover window on the passenger side came out frame and all. Just missed hitting my driver side front wheel area. Guy kept driving apparently unaware.

Thank you so much. Couldn't agree more about how awesome TCS are. Also love how it fits in a single parking spot but is huge inside.

And I got a real badass truck actually. Has a Jake brake, a computer that lets you control all kinds of parameters, shows turbo boost, exhaust temp, etc. Has those inflatable air bags, aftermarket rims and tires like a **** semi. Regroovable. Beefy.

Tc has solar, gen, not lifepo4 batts, not lead-acid... That one in between you can mount upside down. Every **** thing. Hell of a rig.

TCs are awesomer than other rvs because they're more rugged and you get a bad a... truck AND a camper. Plus you got one of the arguably best/nicest setups out there!
