I'm one of you now!!

First I want to say THANK YOU for all of y'alls help!

We drove 5 hours one way yesterday to look at a tc pop and got it. It was a LONG day. I won't go in every detail about after we got there but it was NOT fun!! We were there for 3 1/2 hours!!

Over the phone we negotiated to $2500. When we got there it had a few problems so again we negotiated and agreed on $2100. Its a Palomino B1500. It does need a little work but nothing we can't do. And it REALLY needs cleaning! I can't believe people don't clean before they sell their stuff.

    Some times the 'not so fun' stuff is the stuff that that brings smiles and laughter for many years to come. Your report of a 'not so fun' trip does not mask your excitement. Congratulations!

    I should have warned you ahead to expect that. Even when buying new, there's always something. We had to have the propane storage door replaced because it had a lot of rust on it, then it took the service guy forever to install the wiring (he wasn't familiar with Dodge truck).

    The best part is that it's home, yours and you have many adventurers to look forward to. No matter if it wasn't cleaned, you can clean it to your standards, it makes it truly yours then. Enjoy, and show us pics! Looking forward to your first trip report!

    Just locate a good truck mechanic, and a RV tech. After that, have fun!!

    We spent a few hours this morning cleaning the thing up. It looks soooo much better! BUT, we did find a couple of places that its been leaking. So, we have to fix those spots and replace some plywood.
