I WANT ONE!

Just saw this advertised on facebook. This is really well thought out and would be a great vehicle for short outings.

Actually South African, but very similar to what you get here. They have a sales centre in Australia.

Ouch! Yeah, that is a bit much and you would have to import it, too. I didn't see a $ amount on the advertisement but figured it would be high. Still, it is innovative.

The rain fly setup was pretty good. I remember seeing an old "trailer tent" camper at a campground... I think it was Montgomery Ward? Maybe made in 1950s? It was like those motorcycle tent trailers, but folded out to a much bigger tent.
  • I looked at a number of Australian trailers used in the outback for inspirations for our teardrop trailer and incorporated a number of the ideas, i.e. all aluminum frame, solar, water filters...Our camping is a good bit more tame so it will not ford waste deep rivers...
One of the things to notice is the axles are independent and the center of gravity is low. Many of the off road trailers have an angled rear to give clearance rather than setting the trailer up high over the axles as you see with too many US made trailers.

  • Incredibly well thought out. The stone shields on the hitch are interesting. I would hate to try backing it up though being so short.
