Is the 38RLT Salem a park model or TT, sliding glass doors?

Here's a dumb question, and the only reason I ask is one site will say it's a park model and another a TT, so which is it?

It's a Salem/wildwood (same thing different color logos) 38RLT. It looks like a TT but has glass sliding doors, on forest river's site it's also listed under the TT. But we know all the camper home sites need some help lol.

One more question, I have been told many campgrounds (that don't have seasonal sites) don't allow glass sliding doors, is there any truth in that?

It's listed on the Forest River Web site as a TT not a destination TT. If you look at the Forest River Web site you can see the destination models. Park models do not have tanks and tend to look more like a house. Destination TT are more for a seasonal site where you tow them to (a destination), they have tanks and look more like a TT but tend to be larger and heavier.

At what size is it considered a destination TT? It's 38'6 lol. Guess that brings up the question how many campgrounds can handle something at that size, that isn't a fifth wheel?

We have a Salem Villa 402 QBQ, it has sliding glass doors and we use it as a TT and have been to several campgrounds, rv parks and state and local parks throughout Missouri, Iowa and Oklahoma and have not had any issues. First time I'm heard that one about sliding doors.

That's awesome! For what you get and the price how can you beat it? I have been talking about getting one todo the same.

  • Haven't heard of restrictions on sliding glass doors, but then we've never looked into a seasonal site anywhere.

My impression is that if you have holding tanks, you have a TT; park models - to my knowledge - don't have holding tanks. (I could be wrong about this.)
