Is this forum dead, wow

I am usually on the POPUP PORTAL watching the Folding Trailer info...

This forum is more orientated to the big RV guys I think...

All of the forums have the same battery problem however it seems...

Well I'll say out of all the other forums, I've never seen the rudeness, fighting, and baiting I've seen here so the mods are likely trying to change the atmosphere here.

However, this forum used to be the very VERY active and the place to go. Now it's the slowest out of any forum.

Hopefully there will be a come back here. Been here since 2005 and never this slow.

There are many RV groups on Facebook. I think that is why the forums have less traffic.
But this is still my "go to" RV forum! I would be lost without it!

Facebook for me, is only for actual friends and family. If I don't know you, but know of you, I don't want to be facebook friends. I like to keep it close unlike some friends of mine who have hundreds and thousands of facebook friends and many that they have never met or seen.

I guess I'd have to start a new facebook account just for those forums if I chose to follow them.

Participation in the whole Open Roads forum has been declining for several years. Right now there is one page plus 5 posts on page 2 of NEWEST postings. Newest is the postings in the last 24 hours. A few years ago there would be 6-8 pages or sometimes even 9-10 pages. Moderators are not the reason for all that loss.

Reminds me of something Yogi Berra supposedly said that `the place is so crowded nobody goes there anymore'. But really how many times can we discuss TPMS, or can this vehicle pull this trailer, etc.
We could really liven things up if we were allowed to talk about guns and/or politics!

I too have been here since 2005.

It is slower here, but still better info then FB.
I'm on the Grand Design Forum also. Great info there, with many of the same problems,so the fixes are easier.KEN

What I seen kill this forum is all the ones that rather badger and argue than actually post to help people .It gets old seeing same arguments between people daily.

I got out of tent trailer life years ago but continue to check this forum out of interest. I have also noticed a diminished number of postings. I believe that part of this is the fact, perhaps, that there are fewer pop ups on the road these days. When we had one we would see many on the roads, some just like ours. Now we look and still see them but the numbers are down. What we see these days are the very large trailers and fifth wheels.

Facebook has changed things for sure but I continue to refuse to go there. There have always been rude posters and they will continue to muck things up with their attitude but most of us can get through them. I would hate to see any forum disappear. Hopefully, even if the numbers decline, we will be able to read about this great classification of RVs. Long live the tent trailer!
