- atreisExplorerThe teardrop with the tent is a nice idea.
- 4x4vanExplorer IIIPretty cool little trailer, but I wouldn't classify it as a teardrop. Teardrop trailers are typically a low sleeper with an outdoor rear mounted kitchen.

Interesting, I never knew that! Those Australian RV's look pretty cool. Lots of interesting features. It just goes to show that there is more innovation possible...
Not many in the US would be aware of that. That is why I have seen elsewhere on the Jayco forums, "why we cannot get that" Gerry Ryan's largest company makes Animatronics i.e Walking with Dinosaurs, stage show, he also owns a winery and sponsors Cycling , Marathon events in Australia - spoon059Explorer IIInteresting, I never knew that! Because Jayco in Australia is not related to the U.S. Jayco. The Australian founder Gerry Ryan, was a friend of the US founders, has bought parts from the U.S. Company, but is now more Euro focused in inspiration.
Bit like the Australian "Winnebago", not related to the U.S. Company. In both cases products of either could not be bought outside the U.S. or Australia.
That has changed with the retrial of the AVIDA verdict. Now ANYONE can bring in Winnebago products not just the Winnebago approved dealer. A loss for Winnebago in Australia. AVIDA can use the Winnebago name when it wants too, with a disclaimer the product has nothing to do with the US Company
This photo sums up that difference

- brooksideExplorerWell, it figures it isn't available in the US. You are SO lucky to have such great choices in Australia and all the units I have seen look so much sturdier than the US products. I came across Jayco's "AU" website once and I didn't realize right away that the units were not available in the US, so disappointed. Your standards must be higher than the US ones. Really, your pop-up trailers are absolutely awesome too! It is really hard to find something here that looks like it will last in the smaller trailers. Appreciate your choices there.
