Kingsport trailers?

We have a Casita but want something just a little larger. I'm looking at a Kingsport 20QBG. I have not noticed this brand before and just wondering if there are any horror stories on the brand? Seems like a very average small stick built trailer which is all I really need.

My main requirement was a rear dinette configuration and we like the really large rear windows in this model. More room than the Casita but not built nearly as well. Some trade off for sure.

We did buy one. We just got back from a week stay in it. There have been a lot of little annoying quality/workmanship issues with this trailer. Nothing that's a deal breaker but you get what you pay for. This is a "bottom feeder" and you get everything that goes with it. These trailers (almost all of them) are just slapped together with cheapest materials and a bunch of staples.

Coming from a Casita, I found the lack of attention to details annoying.

I really like the layout for the most part. We really wanted something small and with a back window. It fills that bill. I have spent probably 20 hours fixing little issues.

After a week in it the only real problem I can't fix concerns the Dometic fridge that sounds like there is a bird stuck in it. I has a constant chirping sound that just about drove me out of the trailer a few times.

Tires that came on the trailer were absolute junk and I replaced the day after I bought it.

Tows well, I have a 3/4 ton truck with a cummins so towing is a non event. It cruises in OD and never even down shifts on the hills in the Texas Hill Country.

We also looked at a Creekside trailer with the same layout and it was WAY better built trailer but the closest one was 1000 miles from here and a lot more expensive. Again you get what you pay for.

If you want details, send me a PM.

Another one to consider, which has a similar floorplan (though not a wal-karound bed) is the Nash 17k.

The Nash 17k has a normal sized Queen Bed too (household size, not a short Queen)
