Leaking on counter top. Repair or replace and how?

Home Depot, Lowe's, and Menards ARE big box stores.
We've replaced our kitchen faucet twice. The first time, DH contacted our coach manufacturer and they sent an off-brand replacement just like the one that broke. That didn't last but a couple years. So this last time he went to Lowe's and bought a Pfister with the life-long warranty. He had to buy some kind of new tool (but of course!) but I love it and it's working very well and not leaking.
We chose Pfister because one of our bathroom sink faucets failed and leaked water all over. We sent them a picture of it and they sent us a brand new replacement. Whoo hoo! We were impressed. No hoops to jump through!
