I want to thank everyone for their comments and experiences. It made us do more research and question our 'experts'. The rv dealer representative came by tonight to take back the unit. The numbers were not right, and the dry weight was over 4500 lbs and although the springs may have been able to support the weight, the tires would not.

We are grateful to weight police :-)
