Hello all, I'm looking for feedback from anyone that currently has or has had the Lance Bed Maid system.

If you have a similar system or have made up one yourself, please share your thoughts and/or recommendations.

I really appreciate all of you that responded to this post, good info for us to factor in as we try to figure out our bed and an easier way to make it up.

I haven't checked the above links yet, but a company called RV Superbag I believe makes the Lance system. I have not yet ordered it yet (expensive I think close to $300) but when we do I will order the King size for our Queen size mattress as it will come down further on the mattress. Once in a while a Lance Bed Maid comes up for sale on the Lance Owners Forum (that's what I'm kind of waiting for, because I'm cheap!)

Wow...$300 is a bit spendy, thanks for the info.

I found this companyon one of the forums. Been meaning to try out this company as they seem to have stuff other campers have asked for. I just saw they have top sheets held on with elastic on bottom. different sizes cut for RV mattresses including thicker ones if you need them. I think in the past I saw ones that had top sheet sown to bottom.

Sounds a lot like the old Travsak system. Basically a double sleeping bag with one side thicker than the other, you turn it over to change temperature. Sheets are cut to the same size and velcro to the bag. For some reason Travsak went out of business, despite having ridiculously high prices for what they were.

I like them because it is easy to make up, often a challenge in a camper. My wife doesn't like them because they don't overhang the mattress like a regular sheet/blanket, and she claims the cold air comes it (unless you zip it up, which is to much trouble for her).

I am still trying to figure out what a BED MAID SYSTEM is haha... Guess I don't need one...

ADDED NOTE: Now I know

"A Lance exclusive, the Bed Maid is a dual-layer sleep system complete with pillow cases and sheets that velcro in place. The dual comforters feature a thinner layer on one side for warm weather and thicker on the other for cold weather.
