- travelnutzExplorer IIYes, vinyl flooring is standard and the removable carpet kit is an option. We have ordered the removable carpet kit on all 3 of our new Lance TC's we've purchased as we like having carpet because it's soft and keeps the noise level down inside. Much warmer floors when we are winter camping also. Some people like vinyl etc and we have both. Very smart of Lance!
All you do is lay the pre-made bound edge carpet down as it fits wall to wall/front to back and doesn't move around at all or simply pick it up, roll it up, and take it out if and when desired.
We take ours out and lay it flat and use our Hoover Steam Shampooer on it a once or twice a season and it looks like new again. It only takes 10-20 minutes to shampoo, let it dry and put it back in or leave it out if desired. While the carpet is out of the TC, you can also clean and/or wash the vinyl flooring. It's the best of both worlds and so easily converted in a couple minutes max by one person! - WoodGlueExplorerLance uses a neat flooring called BeauFlor which isn't a traditional vinyl. It's an engineered composite. It holds up much better, no cracking, no chipping. etc.

What the poster said above me re; the carpet is also a correct answer!
WoodGlue - travelnutzExplorer IIThanks Woodglue for clearing it up.
I was going to use the term Beauflor but I was afraid it would only confuse the OP. Yes Beauflor is head and shoulders better times 10 than normal vinyl flooring and I probably shouldn't have used it as a comparison term. Beauflor is somewhat similar to a vinyl in an untrained quick glance only. I'm assuming the OP is referring to a new Lance TC as she said: "offers a tile or wood laminate flooring rather than carpet" in her thread question post. Older Lance TC's did use a high quality vinyl flooring as we had it in ours in the past.
One thing we have distinctly noticed after having been in florida for a couple months a year for decades is that people in Florida like tile, linoleum, wood laminate, terrazzo, etc while people in the northern USA usually prefer good carpet or real hardwood or the new woodgrain laminate floating floor that's now offered. Whatever floats your boat! - RZAR66ExplorerDon't buy the carpet kit from Lance. They want way too much for it. Go to a place that sells carpet and have one made. You will save a ton!
- travelnutzExplorer IIWas $48 and $57 higher having one made using the same quality of carpet at 2 of the carpet stores we got a quote from and they wouldn't guarantee a tight fit in the corners etc as they didn't have any floor pattern to work with.
The close to the same color carpet itself was cheaper but both said they needed the TC left there a couple days so they could cut to fit the carpet as close as possible and then take it inside and bind on the edging all around.
Needed a new carpet because one of our grandkids spilled a glass of red cherry Crystal Light drink on our beige TC carpet and didn't tell us and we didn't see it in the dim light we had on as it went down the wall onto the carpet under the frige area next to the throw rug DW has to catch spills accidental so it laid there and somewhat dried and stained the carpet bad. An approx 10" red stain on biege carpet sure doesn't look real great!
Tried eveything to remove the stain without success and it looked terrible. Even took a scrap piece of kind of close to the same color carpet I had from our home and poured some of the same Crystal Light on it, let is set a couple hours and tried to get the stain out. No success at all until I mixed some bleach and water as a last resort. Yup, removed the stain but also left the area much lighter than the rest of the scrap piece so that was a no go.
So I called Lance in California and they said "no problem" gave me the price and shipping costs and I said "GO". Lance made us a new removable carpet the same color using their pattern and shipped it by truck to Michigan. Did take 3 weeks total before we had it but it fit perfect just like the stained original carpet. Problem solved and was cheaper including the shipping costs and didn't have to leave our TC anywhere or leave the home to get it. The phone call to Lance was free also and no time spent screwing around or chasing further. By far, the best way to go! - WoodGlueExplorerYep, Lance Rocks!
WoodGlue - RZAR66ExplorerI was quoted $285 for a carpet kit for my 850 when I called Lance.
