light my stove??

I have found that if you buy 4 of the unglazed 6 inch tiles (found at building material stores for .39 ea) and place them on your oven floor (above the burner and below the cooking racks)you have even heating without burning. It eliminates buying the expensive stone ware many people use.

Our stove has the push-to-light feature. Note that when you are done using the oven, if you turn the temp knob all the way off, you put out the pilot light (a safety feature so you don't have an open flame when travellig). There is a position just before that off position where the oven is off but the pilot stays on.

Since it is a 2014, your manual or stove information should tell you how to light the top burners and the oven. Check your information or stop by an RV place and ask them.

Stove top is much easier to light, just turn the knob to either "high" or "light", whichever, push in the knob and use the long lighter and you're in business. To light the oven, suggest you get a good flashlight and look under the bottom rack to locate it. It's awkward usually and hard to see, but on both of our trailers, the lighting area is toward the back on the right side of the center ridge. Turn the oven knob to "light", get the lighter going and push the knob until it lights. If it doesn't light within several seconds, light the stove top burners again to be sure the line is purged. Try again. Be sure when you see that the oven is lighted, hold the knob for a few more seconds and then turn to the higher temp.

Know ahead of time that 350 degrees on your home oven and 350 degrees on an RV oven are nowhere the same. Guarantee you'll burn things on the bottom if you don't lower the temp by maybe 25 degrees or so and check if before the time specified. You may find it done or not quite ready, but you do have to watch it. Some folks use baking stones to help disburse the heat. I never have, but have just learned to watch everything closely. You'll get the hang of it.

Ya, and there are different types of ovens and ways to light them too. Do you know the brand name/ model, and what does it say on your oven knob about lighting? Sometimes if you lift the lid the burners set on it may have lighting instructions printed underneath.

If the stove/oven is an Atwood/Wedgewood the pilot light will be on the lower level in the back, in the center.

Are you referencing the stove top burners or the oven?

I would purge the lines of air first by turning on a burner while holding a BBQ long lighter at the burner. Once it lights you know there is gas in the line. Turn it off and then light in the manufacturer's approved way ( striker or pilot light).
