Lippert slide out plastic track

Anyone know of a resource for the plastic slider pieces that go under the edge of a slide out room? They are about 1/16" thick and 6" wide underneath. the outer edge is at 90 degrees up the side of the slide and goes up under the moulding at the bottom edge of the slide room, so I'm not sure how wide that side is. The front of the piece is molded into the shape of a taper that slides up over the plastic floor piece when the room is brought in. Not sure if I'm describing it correctly. Looks to me like the outer edges of the slide room ride on these pieces so the middle doesn't drag.
  • Perhaps you could make one or have one made from "Delrin" plastic (AKA Acetal copolymer)

This stuff has high strength, stiff, good wear properties, low friction and is very machinable. Available in sheets or even rod forms.

A bit pricey but in some applications well worth the cost.

Heck, if you find a machine shop that would be willing to make you some you might have a market selling high quality replacements which will outlast the RV..
  • The new Grand Design Imagine Travel Trailers have them. A friend just bought one. Going see if I can get him to have dealer to order them.
  • Sorry, the email addresses didn't copy in that last post. Hopefully it works this time.

    Dave is with majesticformedplastics

    Jennifer is with duoformplastics

  • Below is an email from my search. Like I said before, what they sent was not exactly right and then I never followed up.
Maybe you will have better luck. Let us know if you find what you are looking for

    John

The part you are looking for is what we call floor angles or slide room skis.
They are sold in sets, one left and one right hand.
    SunnyBrook used part numbers:
    Left 0646014311
    Right 0646014411

Your cost is $19.95 for the set plus shipping and handling.

I have copied Jennifer Pitcher our Customer Service Manager on this email.
She can help you process the order with a Credit Card.

    Best regards, Dave Rheinheimer
  • Is that front ramped part of yours broken?
I have the same trailer and that problem with mine.
I did a lot of searching for these and have come close but not exact. I ordered some that I thought were the right ones , but when they showed up they had a textured surface. Not exactly what you want on something that slides. I meant to contact the supplier and ask about other options but then got sidetracked with other family/life issues. I will look for the info and post here when I find it
  • You are describing them correctly. Easiest way is to find a camper with them on there and then contact a dealer with the year model of that camper. Thought about doing the same thing on mine as well.
  • Does Suunybrook sunset models use a Lippert slide ? if so, try to find the part that matches.
If its Lippert, I'm sure there is a youtube of a Lippert slide that someone took apart and put back together.
