I'm finding this hard to believe. I air up my Maxxis 8008 tires using my air compressor. I check them every 3-4 weeks, and they are always 5-10 lbs low.
I hate to say this but my GYMs hold air all year as well. Better mounting job? All I know is that during the summer when I check them they don't need air. After sitting all winter from Nov 1st to around April 15th or so they only drop 3-4lbs.
I'm actually quite surprised by this, so I can see why you would think what you do. I would've never figured it either.
