Long Bed or Short Bed?

My short bed works great with a fifth wheel. Some on here advise to get the long bed and not compromise. The reality is it's a compromise either way with differing pros and cons. My truck is my daily driver and it needs to fit in tight parking lots and garages. Not to mention down some tight forest service roads when camping and hunting. A short bed is much better in those areas. I don't feel like it's a negative at all with a fifth wheel. The negative is simply less cargo space which admittedly hurts at times with a large family.
