Looking at the Ascend 231BH.....??

Hi Everyone

My family is looking to purchase a TT and need some opinions.
We are looking to move up from a Pop Up we had several years ago. We are currently looking at the Evergreen Ascend 231BH model. It is a new "leftover" 2013. It meets all our needs as far as floorplan and weight. From what we have read in our research it seems to be a pretty good brand. Anyone out there own an Evergreen product? Are you happy with it? Any major problems we need to be aware of?

Also, in addition to this being our first TT it will also be our first time buying new from a dealer. I have to admit I'm overwhelmed with the negotiating aspect. I've read that 25 - 30% off MSRP is what you should go for, but how does that work with a leftover model? Should I expect more off? This model is no longer avail. Will that help or hurt us in the end price?

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
  • I currently own a 2012 Evergreen Ever-lite TT. I have dealt directly with Evergreen on repairs needed. Evergreen has always been there when I needed them. Any email I would send to them they would respond back right away. They have sent me any parts that I have needed. I have decided to fix some of my issues myself instead of always running back to the dealer. I would buy from Evergreen again when I'm ready to buy a new RV! Two things I really like about my Evergreen Ever-Lite are ComposiTek material instead of all that plywood that can rot and my TPO Vinyl roof. I continue to get compliments at the campgrounds on my Evergreen TT.

That's very encouraging! Thanks for sharing.
  • We bought our first TT 1 year ago. It's an Evergreen i-Go , and we love it ! Our next TT will be another Evergreen product. Our i-Go is well built, and came with a lot of standard features.
We bought on line from Michigan , had it delivered to Montana , and drove it back up to Alberta . 30% off MSRP is about normal.
  • Thank you everyone for your replies. I'm glad to hear from so many happy owners. We are still working our some details, but I will let you know if we end up with this TT. Thanks again.
