Looking for a HTT - need some help

Hey all,
First - it's not for me. My retired mother is looking for an easy to tow trailer, and likes the idea of these.

Problem I'm running into - either they're rare, or they don't show up in the searches I do. So, I'm looking for your help for specific models to look for.

Probably the only limitation would be not much bigger than 20' on the road/closed up, and must have two separate beds - not one bed+dinette -- sometimes her and her BFF take off on trips. I call them Thelma and Louis.

Of note - I'm not soliciting to buy one here or from any rv.net member. I'm a very senior member here, I know that's against the rules.

  • Your Mother’s in Washington? If so a hybrid is very unusual. Yes, easier to tow but harder to set up and take down.
  • How old is your mother?
Would she be able to close a loaded bunk door?

Have you ever owned a hybrid.

I'm 63 and sold my hybrid last year. I'm 6' tall and could close it myself. But I know many younger women and men that have difficulty doing it. Height and upper body strength are an advantage.

I seriously think she needs to be taken to see one and have her try to do the tent end setup and takedown.

Hybrids are a rarer bird in the PNW.
  • I looked on craigslist in the area, but I only found 4-5 in the area. Maybe it's the fact that they have canvas and it's wet in the area. Look outside your area and maybe make it a bonding road trip for you and your Mom.
