Looking for suggestions on new Travel Trailer

We currently have a 2007 Jay Flight 29bhs which has been a great trailer IMHO. Wife is wanting a "bigger" TT with at least a "bigger" slide-out while keeping bunk beds. I told her I don't mind as long as we change to an Ultra-Light (for better MPG) that doesn't have an Aluminum Siding exterior, I'm getting a little tired of her wanting the panels replaced everytime there is a Hail storm.

I've been trying to find some models similar to the the Jayco White Hawk 29SQB and 28DSBH because they have a nice floorplan and a dry weight close to 5,000-lbs. I am also trying to stay closer to $20k instead of $28k. I have found a couple of them from dealers in other states for $23k but I'm guessing a transport fee will rack that up a bit.

Does anyone have suggestions of places to look and models to consider that could be negotiated closer to $20k?



Wife found a 2011 Forest River Rockwood Ultra Lite 2702SS that looks nice online.

    Crossroads makes 2 in their Z-1 line that have bunkhouses and slide outs. We opted for no slide out and as you can tell from my handle, we love ours.

    Anything in particular that makes them junk? The White Hawks we've looked at don't appear too bad.

    Every one suggests the one they have. however. I have the exact TT you need. It has the exact same floorplan as the White Hawk in your first picture. But it is lighter. Mine was yellow sticker 4811lbs. 31' long. We love it. Didn't think we would love the back door, but it is real handy.
    It is made of Aszdel. So it is super lite, and has good insulation values.
    Google Apex 288BHS. Take a look, and find a dealer.
    BTW. The MSRP is around 29K, Can be had for 19 - 20.

    It is made by Coachman. We really like it , Tows great. Looks good. Sleeps 10 with ease. AND. Should you go somewhere, where you can't get the slide out. You can still use the camper. Having the slide in. Doe not block one thing

    Hmmm. Thor must have been the 5th choice, as he didn't chose any if his first 4.

    Honestly. Jayco makes a nice RV, as does Coachman.

    Thanks Terry. Here those are sold as the Forest River Apex 288BHS and the local dealer doesn't budge from MSRP. The 298BHS looks really nice too. That dealer is the reason we strayed from Heartland toward Jayco back when we bought the one we have now. -lol...

    Google them. I bet there is another dealer within 100 miles. We drove 2 hours to get ours. It was worth it.

    Seems you local dealer doesn't want to sell his.

    BTW. We also liked the Jayco White Hawk with our floor plan. but the one on the lot here, Was a lot heavier than the Apex.

    All of your perspective floor plans, have the entertainment center as a dividing wall from bedroom to living area. We had one, bed was too short. I didn't sleep well. I am only 5'8", my head touched the front wall and my feet touched the entertainment wall.
