I know they are not on lots until around summer is what I have been told. I have a 2014 Ram 3500 MC 4x4 Laramie now but I don’t need this much truck anymore and the ride is rough to say the least. I do love everything else about the truck. Looks like the 2019 2500’s have a good pay load for what I’ll need and a much better ride. I use mine for a daily driver and I’m a general contractor I do drive it a lot. My question is what could I expect to paid with an truck that has a MSRP of around $77K? The dealer I ussually buy from told me he can order today and sell for invoice. But he just ordered a $82k 2019 Platmiun DRW and invoice was $75k. That does not sound like a good deal for the buyer. I thought you could get around $12-16k off MSRP of a 77k truck is that not the case? I understand incentives and rebates count as well. Anyone order or purchase a new truck in the last year or two and what deals did you find? Thanks for the help G

The problem is that the 2019 is a new design. It will take some time for the incentives to kick in. There won't be much in the way of discounts starting off because it is the new shiny thing.

Get a 2018 2500. Plenty of power, nice truck, you'll get a better deal and you won't have a fuel pump that moonlights as a grenade.Or get a Duramax if you really want the latest and greatest, and at least forego said grenade.

The problem is that the 2019 is a new design. It will take some time for the incentives to kick in. There won't be much in the way of discounts starting off because it is the new shiny thing.

You do know there's two invoices right? The one they are required by law to show you if you ask to see it and then the real one that shows dealer kickback etc. The one they show you is never a lot lower than the MSRP. You never see the real one.

Required by law? I don't think there is a law the mandates a dealer produce the invoice. The invoice price does not include the various holdback/incentives to the dealer. But that does not mean the invoice price changes.

I don't think the new design is applicable to the heavy duties in 2019.

I sold equipment in a previous life, the customer never saw our invoices because they were none of his business. We had to make a fair buck yet remain competitive and our pricing reflected that. Make what you feel is a reasonable offer, the worst they can do is say no and counter. If you can't agree on price say thank you for your time and move on. Maybe ask them to include some extras like side steps or a premium sound system.
