I could apply thread lock, but then no one would be able to post.

Wow, I guess it has been over 10 years. I'm not on here much lately but check in once in a while. Miss the great trip reports that use to be more common. Just mostly retired last year so camper is getting more use than ever. Now shopping for a new truck.

I'm still around...I read Truck Camper, General Rv'ing, Tech Issues, and Canada/Alaska or Snowbirds depending on season, out of general curiousity, but I don't try to give much advise....seems over the years on here I have learned that what works for me, I am happy with....I have no time or patience with word fighting someone in a peeing contest that "my way is right and your way is wrong"....what ever, dudes!...I glean what I think might be considered "me learning something", then move on.....passing along knowledge on something used to be appreciated in this world, but nowdays its all about looking for an excuse for a personal attack.....also have never posted pics that I would like to because it is too cumbersome....I follow some Facebook groups and it is really so helpfull to be able to snap a pic with phone and post it right away...

I used to frequent the travel trailer forum but since I got a truck camper Ive been over here. I doubt any one missed me in the TT area. Many years ago I would stop into the general camping and RV lifestyle areas but that area is way too intense if any thing would make a person leave and never come back it would be some of the conversations in those areas. I haven't even come close to entering those areas in many years. The attacks can be brutal in those areas.

I am still around although I do lapse into some periods of inactivity depending upon my activities. I tend to visit the board that is more likely to correspond to that particular activity, such as the Fifth Wheel or one of the technical boards. Having just completed a 7822 mile journey in the TC, I have clicked more here lately.

It's good to see/recognize some of the "older" members as well as our newer contributors.

He's the current majority owner of Good Sam Enterprises, which owns RV.net, Trailer Life, Good Sams Club, etc.... There's even a "Dear Marcus" section in the forum 🙂

Still around, even after 16 years and my early days of trying to get a camper on a 1/2 ton, though my posting has mostly been seasonal, as its been seven years since I last took a camper out on the road (The big two month adventure back in 2012 was the end of the KIT's road, he's been in storage ever since 2013).

Sadly, the readership here is definitely way down. Alot of the time, updates on my bigger project posts tend to go without reply anymore, when they'd usually get a few replies with each addition.

I feel like alot of the remaining forum traffic has migrated into the RVLife owned network of forums (iRV2, Airstreamers, FiberglassRV, etc...), and I suspect Marcus Lemonis alienating a hunk of his user base back during the last presidential election period probably didn't help the user levels of the forum much either.

Sadly, the portal I used to use is long gone, with the Woodalls interface no longer around (I liked it because it had a green color scheme).

Your oldest posts are still out there, you just have to use the advanced option to make it look in the “Archive - over one year ago”. It shows your last post to be on 4/08/11. That may not be true however, because there has been a problem for a while now with the search engine not displaying posts that are more than a year old, but less than maybe 5-6 years old. It doesn’t seem to find those at all. It found 165 of your old posts though, going all the way back to your first post on 9/22/05.

At any rate, welcome back, and glad you’re still TC’ing.
